Editing Product Details in the SPD: Google Shopping Feed App
This guide walks you through viewing and editing your synced products in the SPD: Google Shopping Feed App.
I. Viewing Synced Products
After syncing, you can check the syncing status by navigating to the Products menu (1) on the left. Here (2), you can see:
- All Products: Total number of products synced
- Approved: Number of products successfully approved on Google Merchant Center (GMC)
- Pending: Number of products currently being processed by GMC
- Disapproved: Number of products that were rejected by GMC
For each product, you will see the following details:
- Image: Product image
- Product Name: The name of the product
- Data Source: The data source from which the product is synced
- Price: The listed price of the product
- Status: The syncing status (Approved, Pending, Disapproved)
- Detail Issues: If the product is disapproved, this section provides reasons why, allowing you to make necessary edits
- Action: Additional actions that can be performed on the product
You can also apply filters to select products that belong to a specific category or criteria by clicking on Add Filter.
II. Editing Product Details in the App
Refer to
this guide to edit your products in Google Merchant Center.
To edit a product within the App:
Step 1: Click on Actions next to the product.
Step 2: Select Edit.

Step 3: Make changes in the following sections:
1. Basic Product Data
- Offer ID, Feed Label & Content Language: Fixed, not editable.
- Product Title & Product Description: Editable.
- Product Link & Mobile Product Link: Editable. Enter or the product's URL to direct users to the correct store page.

2. Product Image
Upload or update the product image by providing a valid image URL

3. Price & Availability
- Price & Currency: Enter the standard product price and select the appropriate currency.
- Sale Price & Currency: Specify a discounted price, if applicable, and choose the currency.
- Availability:
- In Stock: The product is available for immediate purchase.
- Out of Stock: The product is currently unavailable.
- Preorder: The product can be ordered before its official release.
- Backorder: The product is temporarily out of stock but will be available soon.
- Availability Date: Set start & end date with time to define when the product becomes available.
- Cost of Goods Sold & Currency: Input the cost of goods for better profitability tracking.
- Expiration Date: Set a specific expiration date & time for limited-time offers.

- Unit Pricing Measure: Select a unit of measurement (g, oz, kg, etc.).
- Unit Pricing Base Measure: Defines the standard measurement unit for pricing comparisons.
- Installment: Specifies payment in installments.
- Months: Define the number of months for payment.
- Amount: Specify the amount per installment.
- Currency: Choose the relevant currency.
- Subscription Cost: Defines recurring payments.
- Period: Select Unspecified, Month, or Year.
- Period Length: Set the duration of the subscription.
- Amount: Enter the subscription cost & currency.
- Loyalty Points: Points awarded for a loyalty program.
- Program Name: Name of the loyalty program.
- Point Value: Number of points assigned per purchase.
- Ratio: Conversion rate for points.
4. Product Category
- Google Product Category: Select the most relevant category for better visibility.
- Additional Product Type: Add more product classifications for better organization.
5. Product Identifiers
- GTIN (Global Trade Item Number): A unique product identifier used globally.
- MPN (Manufacturer Part Number): Identifies a product variant within a manufacturer’s catalog.
- Brand: The official brand name of the product.
6. Detailed Product Description
- Condition: Specify if the product is New, Refurbished, or Used.
- Color: Indicate the primary color.
- Size: Provide size details (e.g., S, M, L, XL).
- Gender: Specify Male, Female, or Unisex.
- Age Group: Choose from Newborn, Infant, Kids, or Adults.
- Material: Define the primary material used.
- Pattern: Describe the product pattern.
- Adult: Mark Yes or No if the product is for adults.
- Multipack: Indicate the number of units in a pack.
- Is Bundle: Yes/No to specify if the product is part of a bundle.
- Size Type: Choose from Regular, Petite, Plus, etc.
- Size System: Select the appropriate sizing system (US, UK, EU, etc.).
- Item Group ID: Fixed identifier for grouped products.
- Product Details: Add extra details such as:
- Product length, width, height, weight.
- Product Highlights: List key selling points of the product.
- Product Certifications: Specify compliance and quality certifications.
- Energy Efficiency Class: Select a rating from A to G.
- Max Energy Efficiency Class: Define the highest efficiency level.
- Min Energy Efficiency Class: Define the lowest efficiency level.
7. Custom Labels
Add custom labels (e.g., Label 0, Label 1, Label 2, etc.) for better organization and filtering.
