How to Bulk Configure Grouptify Option Appearance

Managing product option appearances across multiple product groups can be time-consuming when done individually. This guide shows you how to efficiently update option appearances in bulk using Grouptify's configuration feature.

1. When You Need This Feature

Imagine you have 1,000 different product groups, each using the "Color" option with Circle swatch appearance. If you decide to change all these options to Square swatch appearance, you would normally need to update each product group manually - a tedious and time-consuming process.

The bulk configuration feature eliminates this hassle by allowing you to update option appearances across all product groups simultaneously.

2. Step-by-Step Instructions

Step 1: Access the Option Configuration Table

Navigate to the Option configs page and scroll down to find the Manage option config table. Select the Grouptify option from the available options.

The configuration table displays all options currently used across your product groups. Each row contains the following information:

Option name: The name of the option you want to configure
Impact: The number of product groups currently using this option
Appearance on product page: How the option displays on the product detail page
Appearance on product card: How the option displays on the product card

Step 3: Update Appearance Settings

Click on the dropdown menu in either appearance column to open the appearance picker modal. Select your preferred display method from the available options.

You can customize appearances for both:

Product detail pages
Product cards

Step 4: Save and Apply Changes

After making all necessary changes:

Click the Save button
Select "Yes, save and apply" when prompted
The system will automatically apply the new appearance settings to all affected product groups
