Ensure your product options and values display in the appropriate language for your international customers with our translation feature.
1. About the Translation Feature
If you operate a multilingual store, displaying product options and option values in your customers' preferred language is essential for providing a seamless shopping experience. Without proper translations, customers might see option names like "Color" or "Size" in English even when browsing your store in their native language.
This translation feature allows you to create localized versions of all your product group options and option values, ensuring that every element of your product variants appears in the correct language. Whether you're selling to Spanish-speaking customers who should see "Color" as "Color" or German customers who expect "Größe" instead of "Size", this tool helps you deliver a truly localized experience.
2. Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1: Access the Localization Page
Navigate to the Localization page from your main dashboard to begin setting up translations for your product group options.

Step 2: Select Your Target Language
Choose the language you want to create translations for from the language selector. Once selected, the system will display a comprehensive list of all terms that require translation below the language selection.
Key Features:
- Pre-filled translations: Google Translate automatically provides default translations to get you started
- Status indicator: Each translation shows its current status (Active/Inactive)
- Complete term list: All option names and option values from your product groups are included

Step 3: Edit Translations and Save
Review and modify the translations in the text fields provided:
- Option names: Update translations for option names like "Color", "Size", etc.
- Option values: Edit translations for specific values like "Red", "Blue", "Large", "Small"
- Status control: Use the dropdown to set translations as "Active" or "Inactive"
After making your changes, click the Save button to apply all translations. When customers visit your store and select the translated language, they will see the localized product options.

3. Best Practices
- Review Google Translate suggestions as they may not always be contextually accurate
- Test translations with native speakers when possible
- Use "Inactive" status for translations that need review before going live
With this translation feature, your product options will display in the correct language for your international customers, improving their shopping experience.
