The Translations feature lets you provide localized versions of your size chart content for each published language in your store, so shoppers automatically see the size chart in their own language.
Requirement: Your store must have at least
2 published languages set up in
Settings → Languages before you can use this feature. If your store only has 1 published language, the Translations tab will not be usable. Learn how to add and publish languages in
Shopify's Localization and Translation guide.
Where to Find the Translation Feature
Open a size chart in the editor, and you'll see a third tab next to
Content and
Settings, called
Translations.

Important: If you're creating a new size chart that hasn't been saved yet, the Translations tab will show "Save your size chart to add translations", and the + Add translation button will be disabled. You must Save the size chart first, once it exists, and the Translations tab becomes available.
Adding a Translation
1. Open an already-saved size chart and click the Translations tab.
2. Click + Add translation.
3. In the Add translation dialogue, set:
- Translate From: Your store's default/original language (e.g., English).
- Translate To: The target published language (e.g., Chinese Simplified).
4. Click Add. The app copies your original size chart content into the new language as a starting point, it does not auto-translate the text for you.
Note: Translations are manual. After adding a language, you'll need to go through each piece of content (button label, tab names, text blocks, table data) and enter the translated text yourself.
Translating Content
After adding a translation, you're taken to the Translation for [Language] editor, with a live preview showing how the popup looks in that language. You can translate:
Element | What can you translate |
Button | The button label text (e.g., "Size Chart" → "尺码表"). |
Popup Tabs | Click Add translation next to a tab name to translate the tab title (e.g., "Size Chart" tab, "Measurement Guide" tab). |
Text Blocks | Click Add translation on each Text block to enter the translated copy. |
Table Blocks | Click Add translation on a Table block to open the table editor for that language. Every cell, including headers and size data, can be fully edited and translated. |
Image Blocks | Images are not text-translatable. Instead, use the ✏️ pen icon to replace the image with a localised version (e.g., a measurement guide with translated labels), or 🗑️ remove it if not needed for that language. |
Note: Each block shows its own Add translation link, you don't have to translate everything at once. Untranslated blocks will simply continue to display in the original language until you add a translation for them. How It Works on the Storefront
Once translations are added, shoppers browsing your store in a published language will automatically see the size chart popup in that language, no extra setup needed beyond what you've translated here. If you want to make any further adjustments, go back to Translate and edit it as you like.
