It will be assumed that you are a Tapita advanced account. Let’s roll down and read each feature in detail one by one.
Noindex is a rule set with either a <meta> tag or HTTP response header and is used to prevent indexing content by search engines that support the noindex rule, such as Google. ( Google Search Central, 2024)
Prevent Duplicate Content Issues
If a tab contains similar or identical content to other indexed pages, search engines may consider it duplicate content. This can negatively impact SEO rankings by splitting ranking power among similar pages instead of consolidating it.
Avoid Indexing Irrelevant or Low-Value Content
Some tabs contain information that’s useful for users but not beneficial for search engines, such as:
FAQs, Reviews, or Comments sections that appear across multiple pages.
Filters, Sorting, and Dynamic Content that change but don’t add unique value to search indexing.
Login, Account, or Restricted Access Sections that should not appear in search results.
Improve Crawl Efficiency
Search engines have a crawl budget, meaning they allocate a limited amount of resources to index your site. If unnecessary tabs are indexed, it can waste the crawl budget and reduce the chances of more important pages getting indexed efficiently.
Enhance User Experience in Search Results
If search engines index tabbed content separately, users may land on incomplete or contextually irrelevant pages. A noindex tag ensures that only the most useful and complete pages appear in search results.
Noindex can help you block Google and other search engines from indexing a page so it won’t appear in Search results. For example, when a page is not ready to show to users.
After you mark a page as "noindex", it will take several days for Google to recrawl the page and drop it entirely from Google Search results. After that, customers won't find that page when they search on Google anymore, so make sure you know clearly what you are doing.
Please note that the noindex pages will not be reverted to index when you uninstall Tapita.
The table displays the Meta Robots status (Indexable/Noindex) based on the selected action (Noindex/Index). Review the page link and choose "Noindex" if you do not want Google Bot to crawl it.
