Tapita AI Section Builder: How to Edit Your AI Sections

Sometimes, after creating a section with Tapita AI Section Builder, the result might not fully match your wants, or you may want to add additional configurations to that section.

This guide will show you how to edit your AI-generated sections — giving you full control to customize your store’s design exactly as you want before adding it to your theme.

Step 1: At the AI Sections table, you’ll see all the sections you’ve created with AI. You can access this table either from the app’s main dashboard or the My Sections menu.



Step 2: Click the View & Edit button located in the More Actions column for the section you want to modify.



Step 3: In the Section Information area, you can view section's details:
  1. Section Name
  2. Created Date
  3. Themes Installed: List of themes where the section is installed
  4. AI Analysis Results and associated code files


Step 4: In the Edit Section Request area, describe the changes you want to make to the section in the Your Request field. Our AI will process your request and update the section accordingly.



*Note: Both the original section and the updated version will be kept. The new versions will be named by adding “v2,” “v3,” and so on, so you can confidently edit without worrying about losing the original.

Step 5: Once you’ve finished entering your request, click Edit. This action will consume 20 credits.



Step 6: Wait for the AI to process your request. Once complete, you’ll be redirected to the AI Sections table in the My Sections menu. 


Step 7: Here, you’ll see the updated section listed with the original section name plus a version suffix, like “v2.” This counts as a new, separate section.


Step 8: Click the Install button in the Actions column, then select the theme where you want to add the updated section. 


Step 9: Customize the section as you wish within the selected theme.

Step 10: If you want to make further changes to the newly created section, simply repeat these steps using the latest version. When customizing a version other than the original, you can also view all your previous edit requests in the Edit History area, helping you keep track of changes made over time.


Step 11: You can change the dashboard language anytime by clicking the language selector (rectangle icon) at the bottom-left of the dashboard and choosing your preferred language.
