Create a Shopify Top Bars (old version)

In this article, you will learn how to create promotion or notification bars at the top of your pages using Tapita Top Bars.

Step 1: Create a Top Bar in Tapita

On Tapita left menu, click View more > Top Bars.



Click Add New to create a new bar. Select one of Tapita top bar templates to edit it.



On the builder page, you can edit the template content as you want.

You can only edit the content of the templates, such as texts, colors, or sizes. You cannot add or remove elements.

After you've done, go to Section Settings to change the top bar name, select Publish and click Save and Publish.



After you've published your top bar, please wait for about 1-2 minutes before doing the next step.

Step 2: Add the published top bar into Shopify pages

Now, your published Top Bar is ready to be added into all or any specific Shopify pages.

In your Shopify admin, go to Online Store > Themes > Customize.

In the page customizer, expand the Header section and click the Add block (+) button.



You will find your newly-created section here, with the text "Tapita_H - " at the start. Click on it to add it into the header.

Finally, click Save. And that's it! Your top bar is now showing on the top of your store for all pages.

To hide the top bar for specific pages

By default, Top Bars will show on all pages in your website.

If you want to hide a top bar for some specific pages, go to the bar's Section Settings > URL to Exclude, and enter the path of the URL that you don't want the top bar to show on.
You can enter multiple paths, separated by comma "," .



In the above example, any URL that contains "cart" or "checkout" in its path will not show the Coupon Bar.
