Customizing the Breadcrumb

In Shopify stores, breadcrumb navigation is a crucial element for improving site usability and helping visitors understand their location within the store's hierarchy. Tapita's Breadcrumb navigation provides a clear and customizable way to display this navigation trail, making it easier for customers to track their journey and return to previous pages.

With Tapita's Breadcrumb navigation, you can:
  1. Offer Clear Navigation: Displays a straightforward breadcrumb trail, improving user experience.
  2. Provide User-Friendly Design: Keeps your site organized and helps visitors quickly find their way.
  3. Enable Customizable Appearance: Adjust the look to match your site’s design and branding.
  4. Improve Usability: Aids in reducing bounce rates by making site navigation more intuitive.

For instructions on how to add breadcrumb to your store, please refer to the Getting Started guide for Tapita Theme Sections Builder.
After adding breadcrumb to your store, you can customize its content as follows within the Shopify Theme Editor:
  1. Text Color: Enter the hexadecimal color code for the breadcrumb text.
  2. Link Color: Enter the hexadecimal color code for the breadcrumb links.
  3. Divider Color: Enter the hexadecimal color code for the breadcrumb dividers.
  4. Show as Badge: Enable to display each breadcrumb segment as a badge with a background color. Disable to display the breadcrumbs as plain text links.
  5. Text Badge Background: If "Show as Badge" is enabled, enter the hexadecimal color code for the background of the text badges.
  6. Link Badge Background: If "Show as Badge" is enabled, enter the hexadecimal color code for the background of the link badges.
  7. Divider: Choose the character to use as a divider between breadcrumb segments (Slash (/), Chevron (>), or Blank).
  8. Content Full Width: Toggle this setting to make the content within the section span its full width. If disabled, customize the size at "Content max width."
  9. Padding and Margin: Adjust the padding and margin for the section on mobile, desktop, and tablet screens to control spacing.
  1. Configure the section content:
    1. Use Icon for Home: Enable to use an icon for the "Home" link in the breadcrumb. Disable to use text.
    2. The following settings allow you to customize the text for key links within the breadcrumb navigation. For example:
      1. Home Title: Enter the text for the "Home" link. The default is "Home," but you could change it to "Homepage" or your store name.
      2. Cart Title: Enter the text for the "Cart" link. The default is "Cart," but you could change it to "Shopping Cart" for more clarity.
      3. Other customizable text labels include: All Collections, Shop, List Collection, Search for, Search Title, Account Title, Order history, Sign Up, Sign In, Activate account.
