Combined Listings Guideline in G: Combined Listings & Variants

Combined Listings Guideline in G: Combined Listings & Variants

Combined Listings is new feature designed for Shopify Plus store owners, enabling you to

  1. Group related products by color, size, or other options, creating one unified product experience where customers see all choices in a single view.
  2. Creates actual parent products in Shopify with your separate products becoming variants.

Benefits of Combined Listings feature:

  1. Enables instant switching between options without page reloads, ensuring smooth and consistent customer browsing.
  2. Works seamlessly with all Shopify features including search, themes, variants, and product pages since it uses Shopify's built-in functionality.
Currently, Combined Listings is available to Shopify Plus stores only. If you’re a Shopify Plus store owner and want to experience this feature, contact us today to arrange a trial!

Now, let’s go through this step-by-step.

You have two ways to use this features:

1. Convert from Existing Product Groups

If you want to use an existing Product Group, go to the ‘Product groups’ tab, click the dropdown beside ‘Edit’, and choose ‘Convert’ to convert that product group to Combined Listings.

2. Create New Combined Listings

If you want to start fresh with a new group, go to the ‘Combined Listings’ tab, click ‘Create Combined Listing’.

Add the products you want to be included in the new combined listing.

Notes

NOTES:

When your chosen products are in another group, a small window will pop up like this.

  1. If you don’t want to move those products to a new combined listing, click ‘No, remove them’.
  2. If you want to add them into the new combined listing, click ‘Yes, keep them’. That also means the chosen products will be removed from their former group.

Next, follow the same steps as when you created a single-option group.

If you click ‘Save’, the combined listings will be automatically published right after.

Click ‘Save draft’ if you want the combined listings to be hidden on the live store.

Click ‘Preview in store’ to review how your combined listing is shown in the storefront.

This is an example of preview in store pages.

3. Edit Parent Product

A parent product generated by ‘Combined Listings’ should be added details for better Shopify SEO.

To make changes, on the dropdown of your combined listing, click ‘View in Shopify’.

Here, fill in specific information about your parent product: title, description, images, metafields, etc.

Enjoy this new and powerful feature. If you need any support on this, we are here to help.
