1. Quantity Discount

Applied when buying multiple quantities of the SAME product

Best for: AOV Boosting, Single product promotions, inventory clearing

Let’s look at this example to see how the ‘Quantity Discount’ offer works.

  • e.g. Candle — $10 each

  • You see this offer on your store:

    • Buy 3 items, get 10% off

    • Buy 6+ items, get 15% off

    • Buy 9+ items, get 20% off

How it works:

  • It means the discount applies only to this specific candle.

  • If you buy more of this same candle, you’ll get the discount.

  1. Buy 1 candle → $10 each

  2. Buy 3 candles → 10% off → $9 each

  3. Buy 6 candles → 15% off → $8.50 each

  4. Buy 9 candles → 20% off → $8 each

When customers add enough items for a discount tier, they will see the price is automatically applied with a discount on checkout.

2. Volume Discount

  • Discount offer applied when buying a certain quantity of ANY products in the cart.

  • Best for: Boosting AOV, Cross-selling, Increasing basket diversity

Let’s look at this example to see how the ‘Volume Discount’ offer works.

  • e.g. Candle — $10 each

  • You see this offer on your store:

  • Buy 3 items, get 10% off

  • Buy 6+ items, get 15% off

  • Buy 9+ items, get 20% off

Discount rule shown on store or cart:

  • “Buy 3 items, get 10% off”

  • “Buy 6+ items, get 15% off”

  • “Buy 9+ items, get 20% off”

How it works:

The discount applies to the total number of items in the order, no matter which products they are.

  1. Buy 3 candles → 10% off everything.

  2. Buy 2 candles + 1 diffuser → ✅ 10% off the whole order (because total items = 3).

  3. Buy 4 candles + 2 diffusers → ✅ 15% off everything (total items = 6).

When customers add enough items for a discount tier, they will see the price is automatically applied with a discount on checkout.

3. Quantity Break

To know how Quantity Break works, please refer to the Quantity Discount part.

Let’s say you sell socks.
With Quantity Breaks, instead of showing discount tiers like “Buy 3+ items, get 10% off,” you can create specific offers customers can choose from — for example:

  • 1 pair – $10

  • 2 pairs – $18 + free gift

  • 3 pairs – $25 + add-on slipper offer

Each offer is selectable right on the product page, so customers can pick the option they prefer.

You can also add upsells or free gifts for each offer — like giving a bonus item or offering an upgrade product.

Quantity Break Offers provide customers with interactive quantity options instead of fixed discount tiers. Each offer represents a specific quantity that customers can select. These offers can be customized to include free gifts, upsells, or variant choices, creating a more engaging and flexible shopping experience that encourages higher-value purchases.

Publishing an offer means activating it on your store discount policy. Any orders that meet the condition will automatically trigger applying the discount offer.

For your Discount offers to meet your business needs, we provide the 4 main configurations. The offer will appear on your product page as a widget.

General configuration: Set the offer’s name, apply to what products, customer criteria, and the widget position.

Offer Blocks configuration: Set the widget title, widget subtitle, and offer tiers.

Design configuration: Choose from design presets, adjust widget layout, setting colors for widget elements, and typography.

Advanced configuration: adjust offer schedule and translation for multiple markets.

Use the preview pane to see how your customizations appear on the storefront.
