Connecting Google Analytics 4 for your Shopify store gives you a clearer view of how visitors use your store. If your Google Analytics 4 account already has properties, you can jump straight to Option 2.
If you have no Google Analytics 4 (GA4) account or your GA4 account has no property, please go to https://analytics.google.com/analytics
Click ‘Start measuring’
Fill in the account name and click ‘Next’
Fill in the property name (Required field).
Choose your business goals, then click ‘Create’.
Under Choose a platform, click ‘Web’
Enter your Shopify store URL and Stream name. One website URL counts as one data stream.
After that, click ‘Next’
Open Shopify App Store, then search for Google & YouTube, click ‘Install’.
Follow the app’s instructions to complete the initial setup.
On the app’s main menu, click ‘Connect Google account’
After connecting your Google account, locate to the right panel.
Click the > icon.
Under ‘Looking only to set up Google Analytics 4 for your store?’, click ‘Get started’.
If your account already has a GA4 property, choose one among the list of properties.
Click ‘Complete setup’ and you have successfully connected your Google Analytics account to your Shopify store.
