How to use the Google Search Console tool in Tapita SEO & Speed
Google Search Console is a tool by Google that provides valuable search data, such as how many people find you on Google and click on your website or how many pages Google has indexed on your site.
Connect your GSC account to Tapita SEO & Speed
Step 1: On the app's left tab menu, click 'Google Search Console'. Then, click 'Connect' to add your Google account to Tapita SEO & Speed.
This is a required step before you can connect a Google Search Console property with our app.
Step 2: Click 'Select all' to share all permissions with Tapita SEO & Speed Optimizer.
Tapita needs all 3 permissions to display your store's search performance data in the app, which can
- Allow you to track your site's search performance/traffic data directly from the Tapita app without having to open Google Search Console.
- Allow you to submit your sitemap directly from the Tapita app without having to open Google Search Console.
- Show which pages on your site that Google is flagging with errors so you can easily contact an expert for help.

We do not have access to all of your sites. We only have access to the domain property related to the store that you selected within the domain property selection list to share with us.
Step 3: Connect a GSC property
- Option 1: 'Select a property' (if you already have a Google Search Console (GSC) account and property).
- After connecting your Google Account, select your Google Search Console property. You should see your store’s domain (your store’s link) as the property after clicking on 'Select a property'.
- Option 2: 'Create new'
- If you don’t see your store’s domain after clicking on 'Select a property', this likely means you don’t have a GSC account and property yet. In this case, click on 'Create new'.
After connecting to your Google Search Console property, you can configure 2 features:
1. Sitemaps
An optimized sitemap ensures better visibility in search results and helps search engines discover new or updated content faster.
You can add multiple sitemaps, just paste the URL, and submit them
The Search Performance Report in Google Search Console provides valuable insights into how your website appears and performs in Google Search results. It helps you analyze key metrics related to search visibility, user engagement, and content effectiveness.
Scroll down to see report details: Search terms, Pages, Countries, Devices, Search appearances and decide to conduct 'Keyword research'.
Now you know how to connect your Google Search Console property with Tapita SEO & Speed to get valuable search insights and enhance performance right in your Shopify store. If you have any questions, please reach out our team via
