Create a Shopify Popups (old version)

In this article, you will learn how to create popups using Tapita Page Builder.


Step 1: Create a Popup in Tapita

On Tapita left menu, click View more > Popups.



Click Add New to create a new popup. Select one of Tapita popup templates to edit it.

On the builder page, you can edit the popup content as you want.

You can only edit the content of the popups, such as texts, colors, or sizes. You cannot add or remove elements.

After you've done, go to Section Settings to change the popup name, then select Publish and click Save and Publish.



After you've published your popup, please wait for about 1-2 minutes before doing the next step.

Step 2: Add the published popup into Shopify pages

Now, your published Popup is ready to be added into all or any specific pages.

In your Shopify admin, go to Online Store > Themes > Customize.

In the page customizer, expand the Header section and click the Add block (+) button.



You will find your newly-created section here, with the text "Tapita_P - " at the start. Click on it to add it into your pages.

Finally, click Save. And that's it! Your popup is now showing on all pages.

To hide the popup for specific pages

By default, Popups will show on all pages in your website.

If you want to hide a popup for some specific pages, go to the popup's Section Settings > URL to Exclude, and enter the path of the URL that you don't want the popup to show on.
You can enter multiple paths, separated by comma "," .



In the above example, any URL that contains "cart" or "checkout" in its path will not show the Discount Popup.
