Broken links guideline in Tapita SEO & Speed

It will be assumed that you are a Tapita advanced account. Let’s roll down and read each feature in detail one by one. 




After accessing SEO Booster in Tapita SEO & Speed, you can easily use 'Broken links' feature by clicking configure.

This feature offers you 2 options: Auto Redirect and Manual Redirect. 

Auto Redirect

This option automatically redirects all broken (404) links to the page of your choice to avoid interrupting user experience and create a better signal to search engines. Fill in a URL that you want to redirect all 404 pages to.


Manual Redirect

Or you can choose the target redirecting page for each broken link. Here are the steps for manual configuration.

Step 1: Choose the broken link you want to fix.

Step 2: Type in your destination URL address, click 'Save'.
When visitors click on the link https://www.tapita.io/help (which is a broken link), they will see the result page in the newly redirecting link.


Enabling this feature to eliminate broken links on your site is recommended.


Alert
Please note that Auto-redirect is off by default to avoid issues with Shopify Markets. If you don’t use Shopify Markets, you can turn it on for broken links.
